Since transparency is one of Reze Design's highest priorities, we want to share and describe our information about production partners with you. Our long-term goal is to produce 100% in Europe, but until then we have selected trustworthy manufacturers in and outside Europe.
OUR COLLABORATORS
When choosing production partners with Reze Design, we pay particular attention to valid and meaningful labels and certificates to be sure that ecological and ethnic aspects are adhered to. Under the product details, you can find these for the respective items. Our partners have the following certificates:
Reze Design wants to act sustainably not only through its production concept, but also through the textiles and materials used, as well as by using fewer chemicals and reducing water waste. For example, one partner regularly tests organic cotton fibers and their cultivations. Recycled polyester, nylon or cotton are GRS certified, chemicals meet GOTS and OEKO Tex standards.
Before Reze Design offers products for sale, they are tested over several days: prototypes are worn in everyday life, washed and dried several times in the washing machine. All our partners are known for high quality items.
Not only is sustainability important to Reze Design, but fair working practices, wages and perfect working conditions among our production partners are also a priority. Our partners commit to these requirements: For example, one partner uses a
Tool to monitor and prevent overtime, monthly reporting to monitor social security, building and fire protection and health protection, a quarterly assessment tool: the "Supplier Sustainability Scorecard", and an annual audit report. Another partner supports the LGBTQ+ organization MOZAIKA, schools and promotes diversity through flexible working methods, such as remote work options.

You are probably wondering, as we initially did, whether and how production in Bangladesh fits in with our values and visions. We all have this cliché (which, unfortunately, is often true) that manufacturing in Bangladesh is synonymous with exploitation, lack of safety and poor quality. But our partner was able to convince us of the opposite: They want to produce there to create jobs for people, with social support and fair salaries. The factories work directly with employees of our partners in Belgium on site and are subject to regular controls regarding remuneration, overtime and building security. Employees also receive benefits, such as 50% off groceries in supermarkets. Chemicals and environmental pollution are prevented through certificates such as GOTS and OEKO Tex, and the quality of the products is always tested. The last point that convinced us is that our partner belongs to the Fair Wear Foundation, which strictly monitors the conditions under which employees work.
